Suwon Selected as Excellent Institution in Third Gyeonggi Province Integrity Awards

Suwon has been selected as an excellent institution in the evaluation for the Third Gyeonggi Province Integrity Awards. Bucheon City was selected as the top award winner.

The city announced on the 22nd that this evaluation was conducted through a public recruitment process for institutions and civil servants that have contributed significantly to enhancing anti-corruption and integrity in Gyeonggi Province, followed by deliberation by the Gyeonggi Province Public Affairs Review Committee.

Suwon led the creation of a clean public service culture through self-evaluation of integrity among senior public officials, on-site integrity consulting, Integrity Awareness Enhancement Days, and operation of an integrity mileage program.

The city plans to implement various and innovative integrity policies going forward, including disclosing operational expenditures of all departments' project promotion funds, operating bonus point systems for civil servants with excellent integrity records, and revising the code of conduct for public officials.

An official from Suwon stated, "The selection as an excellent institution in the Gyeonggi Province Integrity Evaluation is the result of all public officials in Suwon performing their duties with integrity," and added, "If citizens witness any unethical conduct by public officials, we ask that you report it immediately through the Suwon City Hall website or the National Integrity Commission Report Center."
