Suwon Office of Education Operates 'Suwon Village E:um FESTA' Connecting Schools and Communities

The Suwon Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Hye-ri) held the "2026 Suwon Village E:um FESTA" on the 31st at Gyeonggi Science High School and Gyeonggi Province Future Science Education Institute, sharing students' learning and growth through diverse programs including cultural and artistic activities and sports linked to RAS education.
The event was attended by approximately 600 people including students, parents, school staff, and local residents, demonstrating strong participation. It was a meaningful time for students to directly participate and experience various activities while sharing the outcomes of their educational activities.
At the conference hall of Gyeonggi Science High School, performances included a chorus and cheerleading performance by the Suwon E:um Shared School, a "Dagagam (多加感)" music concert that adds sensitivity to diverse cultures, and a creative (broadcast) dance competition by school sports clubs.
In the lobby and exhibition spaces, 28 experience booths were set up featuring science, career development, shared schools, physical education, and educational volunteer activities, achieving participation from both students and local residents.

At the Gyeonggi Province Future Science Education Institute, an after-school and childcare results sharing session was held where best practices were exchanged. Additionally, at a results report meeting for the Suwon Heat Map Drawing project, students and citizens shared the outcomes of their climate and environmental inquiry activities, and awards were presented to outstanding participants.
Superintendent Kim Hye-ri stated, "This festa is a meaningful occasion where schools and communities together support and share in students' learning and growth," adding, "We will activate the community-based education partnership by connecting diverse local educational resources so that students can benefit from broader learning opportunities."
