The '21st Busan Fireworks Festival,' the nation's largest-scale maritime fireworks festival, was held on the 7th in the afternoon around Gwangalli Beach and Igidae and Dongbaek Island in Busan.
Hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and organized by the Busan Festival Organizing Committee, the festival proceeded in a 'three-point performance' format at Gwangalli, Igidae, and Dongbaek Island. Following pre-events including the Air Force Black Eagles airshow and busking that began at 1 p.m., the internationally invited fireworks show and main Busan Multi-Fireworks Show were held consecutively from 7 p.m. for one hour.
At this festival, approximately 80,000 fireworks coordinated with the distinctive scenic lighting of the Gwangan Bridge beautifully illuminated Busan's autumn night sea.
