Kim Sun-jae, Yeongtong-gu District Chief, Begins Full-Scale Operations as 15th District Chief

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] District Chief Kim Sun-jae took office as the 15th Yeongtong-gu District Chief on the 3rd and began full-scale operations.

On the morning of that day, District Chief Kim began his first official duties by paying respects at Hyeonchung Tower in Ingye-dong, and received work reports from senior civil servants regarding major pending issues and key projects in the district, and discussed Yeongtong-gu's vision and development measures.

He then visited Yeongtong-gu Health Center to encourage employees who have worked hard in COVID-19 response efforts, followed by a visit to the Yeongtong-gu chapter of the Korean Senior Citizens Association to listen to opinions and grievances regarding the operation of the seniors' association.

District Chief Kim said, "Through active communication with district residents, I will implement transparent administration based on empathy and trust, and do my best to improve residents' quality of life and happiness index" and added, "I hope all civil servants will gather their wisdom and passion so that Suwon Special Metropolitan City can make a leap forward as a premium city leading development."

Meanwhile, Yeongtong-gu District Chief Kim Sun-jae entered public service in 1989 and has worked through various key departments including Chief of Gwonseon 1-dong, Administrative Support Division Chief of Jangan-gu, Legal Affairs Officer, and Human Resources Division Chief. After his promotion to Local Civil Service Officer in 2021, he served as Administrative Support Division Chief.
