Kim Seon-jae Takes Office as 15th District Chief of Yeongdeungpo-gu, Begins Full Duties

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Kim Seon-jae took office as the 15th District Chief of Yeongdeungpo-gu on the 3rd and officially began his duties.

On the morning of that day, District Chief Kim began his first official work with a tribute to the Memorial Tower in Ingae-dong, received briefings from senior civil servants on major pending issues and core projects in the district, and discussed the vision and development plans for Yeongdeungpo-gu.

He then visited the Yeongdeungpo-gu Health Center to encourage staff members who have worked tirelessly in COVID-19 response efforts, and subsequently visited the Yeongdeungpo-gu branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, where he heard opinions and concerns regarding the operation of the senior citizens association.

District Chief Kim stated, “Through active communication with residents, I will realize open administration based on empathy and trust, and will do my best to enhance residents' quality of life and happiness index,” and added, "I ask all public servants to pool their wisdom and passion so that we can take a leap forward as a premium city leading the development of Suwon Special Metropolitan City."

Meanwhile, District Chief Kim Seon-jae began his career in public service in 1989 and served in various key positions including head of Gwonseon 1-dong, head of Administrative Support Division at Jangan-gu, Legal Affairs Officer, and head of Human Resources Division. After his promotion to provincial secretary-level official in 2021, he served as head of the Administrative Support Division.
