Osan City Reports First COVID-19 Case, Distributes 26,000 Emergency Masks

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] When Osan City reported its first COVID-19 confirmed case on the morning of the 29th of last month, the city urgently distributed a total of 26,000 masks through 15 pharmacies in the city on the same day. Prior to distribution, the city informed citizens through its official SNS.

A city official stated, "We secured and distributed masks for those in need who have difficulty purchasing them," and added, "While the quantity we prepared was not large enough to meet all demand, we will do our best to secure additional supplies and distribute them to citizens."

Previously, the city distributed 28,000 masks to vulnerable groups including the elderly and persons with disabilities who had difficulty obtaining masks through welfare centers and other facilities.
