Suwon City and Gyeonggi Province Disaster Basic Income In-Person Applications Temporarily Suspended on 25th from 9 AM to 2 PM
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] In-person applications for Suwon City and Gyeonggi Province Disaster Basic Income will be temporarily suspended on the 25th from 9 AM to 2 PM.
This suspension is due to maintenance of the resident computer system by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, scheduled from 9 PM on the 24th to 1 PM on the 25th. Since Disaster Basic Income applications utilize the resident computer system, applications will also be suspended during this period.
Application services will resume at 2 PM on the 25th after the application system undergoes maintenance.
In-person applications for Suwon City Disaster Basic Income can be made until May 29th. From April 20th to May 17th, applications can be submitted at dong administrative welfare centers on weekdays from 9 AM to 8 PM, and on weekends (holidays) from 9 AM to 6 PM. From May 18th to 29th, applications can be submitted on weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM.
The in-person application period for Suwon City Disaster Basic Income varies depending on household size. Online applications available on the Suwon City website can be made regardless of the 'five-day rotation system.'
Households with four or more members should apply by April 26th, three-member households from April 27th to May 3rd, and two-member households from May 4th to 10th. One-member households must apply from May 11th to 17th, and from May 18th to 29th, anyone can apply regardless of household size or day of the week.
Suwon City implements an 'application five-day rotation system' for in-person Disaster Basic Income applications, similar to the 'mask purchase five-day rotation system.' Those born in years ending in 1 or 6 must apply on Monday, 2 or 7 on Tuesday, 3 or 8 on Wednesday, 4 or 9 on Thursday, and 5 or 0 on Friday.
On Saturdays and Sundays, citizens who were unable to apply from Monday to Friday can apply regardless of birth year. For example, on April 25th-26th, households with four or more members can apply regardless of birth year, and on May 2nd-3rd, three-member households can apply.
Suwon City Disaster Basic Income (100,000 won per person) will be distributed to all citizens registered in Suwon City as of midnight on April 2nd.
Payment in cash will be deposited within 7 business days from the application date. Minors (those born on or after April 3rd, 2001) can have their household head, a direct ancestor, submit an application on their behalf.
The 'Gyeonggi Province Disaster Basic Income,' which distributes 100,000 won in regional currency per person to all Gyeonggi Province residents, including Suwon citizens, has been accepting online applications since April 9th. Online applications can be made until April 30th on the website (https://basicincome.gg.go.kr). Eligible recipients are residents registered in Gyeonggi Province from before midnight on March 23rd through the application date.
Until July 31st, residents can visit Nonghyup Bank or their local dong administrative welfare center to apply for a prepaid card. After completing and submitting the application form, residents receive the card and can use it once usage approval is granted.
In-person applications at Nonghyup Bank and dong administrative welfare centers follow a five-day rotation system. Application periods differ according to household size. The application periods for two, three, and four-member households by household size are the same as those for Suwon City. However, one-member households and those who have not yet applied must apply from May 11th to 17th, and from May 18th to July 31st, anyone can apply regardless of household size.
