Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun: "Young People, Nurture Your Dreams! Suwon City Will Support You"
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-seong] Suwon Special Metropolitan City Mayor Lee Jae-jun promised young people on the 6th, "Nurture your dreams. Suwon City will work hard to help you achieve them."
The mayor attended the '2022 Youth UP Cloud Job and Entrepreneurship Mentoring Concert' held at the Suwon Convention Center that evening, stating through his remarks, "Young people have the strength to overcome any situation that comes their way," and said, "Suwon City will develop diverse policies for young people and actively support them."
He continued, "I dreamed of being a student activist, but in my third year of university, I decided to become a scholar and achieved that dream. After working for 13 years as a professor and 5 years as an administrator, I nurtured my dream as a politician," and said, "Dreams can always change, and to undertake new challenges to achieve your dreams, you must constantly develop yourself."
The '2022 Youth UP Cloud Job and Entrepreneurship Mentoring Concert,' hosted by Suwon City and organized by Kyung Hee University and Ajou University LINC 3.0 project groups, is an event that brings together youth, businesses, and universities in one place—like a cloud system that can retrieve necessary information anytime and anywhere—to provide young people preparing for employment and entrepreneurship with opportunities to form human networks and strengthen employment competence through customized consulting.
The event proceeded with keynote lectures by Kim Ji-yun, DISNEY Management Support Manager, and former Samsung Electronics Director Yun Deok-won on the theme of 'Global Corporate and Large Enterprise Employment Direction and Trend Analysis,' entrepreneurship panel discussions, and small group mentoring.
Kakao Manager Jo Sung-hyeon (Developer), Coupang Director Lee Kyu-yeol (Data Analysis), and Jaber CEO Lee Dong-wook (Startup) participated as panelists in the panel discussion.
In the 'Small Group Mentoring,' a total of 10 mentors working at LG Household & Health Care, Amorepacific, Hyundai Motor, IBM, and CPTEAM participated along with 90 mentees (young people).
