Ganghwa County Conducts Special Duty Inspection for Year-End and New Year Period

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Choi Ki-ho] Ganghwa County has launched efforts to establish public service discipline ahead of the year-end and new year period.

The county announced on the 22nd that it will conduct a special duty inspection for the year-end and new year period to ensure public officials focus on their original duties and dedicate themselves to their assigned responsibilities, implementing trustworthy administration.

The main contents of the duty inspection include △misuse of annual and sick leave △false business trips △unauthorized absence/leaving one's post △drunk driving △delay in civil administrative task processing △neglect of resident complaint management △sexual misconduct (sexual harassment, indecent acts, etc.).

Additionally, for violations of the Civil Service Code of Conduct and Anti-Corruption and Bribery Prevention Act such as accepting money or entertainment and improper solicitation, the county plans to refer cases for investigation, and will also check the emergency contact system to ensure swift on-site response when emergency operations occur such as heavy snow warnings.

A county official said, "Through this duty inspection, we will heighten employees' awareness and establish discipline standards to implement trustworthy administration."
