Kim Dong-yeon: "When Citizens Report to Gyeonggi Province, Our Special Prosecutors Will Deploy...We Will Create Animal Welfare Together"

[Suwon Ilbo=Park No-hun Reporter] Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon announced "We rescued animals in crisis through reports from citizens."

Governor Kim Dong-yeon shared through SNS that following enforcement actions in Yangpyeong and Gwangju in March, "52 additional reports were received from citizens. After the investigation team deployed and confirmed all cases, early this morning we raided a site in Paju where approximately 50 meat dogs facing slaughter were located and safely rescued them."

He further pledged, "Whenever citizens report incidents, Gyeonggi Province's Special Prosecution Unit will always deploy. We will create animal welfare in Gyeonggi together with our citizens."

< Citizens' Reports Have Rescued Animals in Crisis >

With the cooperation of citizens, we discovered another site of animal abuse and rescued animals facing death.

\r\n\r\n

Since the Gyeonggi Province Special Judicial Police Unit began enforcement actions following the "Yangpyeong scrap yard animal abuse case" on March 4, citizens have continued to submit reports, and on March 24 we identified a meat dog farm in Gwangju.

\r\n\r\n

Subsequently, 52 additional reports were received from citizens. After the investigation team deployed and confirmed all cases, early this morning we raided a site in Paju where approximately 50 meat dogs facing slaughter were located and safely rescued them.

Whenever citizens report incidents, Gyeonggi Province's Special Prosecution Unit will always deploy.
