[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Choi Ki-ho] Ganghwa-gun received the top prize in the Instagram basic local government county category at the '9th 2023 SNS of the Year' awards held at the Korea Press Center on the 24th.
The '9th 2023 SNS of the Year' is organized by the Korea Social Contents Promotion Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, with award recipients selected based on evaluations of SNS utilization achievements by public institutions and private enterprises.
The evaluation is conducted through quantitative assessment and expert evaluation, and is regarded as the most authoritative award in the SNS field domestically.
Ganghwa-gun has not only introduced major tourist attractions through its tourism Instagram account but also shared news of various festivals and events held in the county, achieving over 10,000 followers through real-time communication.
Additionally, the county has posted actual reviews about tourism products and programs through blogs and YouTube, stimulating tourists' interest and increasing participation rates while making efforts to attract visitors.
A county official said, "This top prize is all the more meaningful as it is the first achievement since opening the Instagram channel," and added, "We will continue to post diverse content on Ganghwa-gun's tourism SNS and maintain communication with many people."
