Osan City Provides Additional 10% Incentive for Lunar New Year Oesaekjeon

[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Park Chan-hyuk] Osan City announced on the 14th that it will conduct an 'Oesaekjeon Additional Incentive Event' to revitalize the local economy and ease the financial burden on citizens ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

This policy was planned based on the success of the early January Oesaekjeon incentive event, which received enthusiastic response from citizens and depleted the budget in just two days.

\r\n\r\n

The additional event is scheduled to be provided for 12 days from the 20th to 31st, with a 10% incentive rate applied identically to the early January event. The purchase limit is 500,000 won, and citizens can receive a maximum incentive of 50,000 won. However, it may end early if the budget is depleted.

\r\n\r\n

However, citizens who already received the full 50,000 won incentive in the early January event cannot receive additional benefits, and those who charged only partially can receive benefits only within the remaining limit. In other words, citizens who received a 20,000 won incentive in early January can receive up to an additional 30,000 won in benefits in this additional event.

The city has compiled a total budget of 1.111 billion won for local currency incentive payments in January. Of this, 370 million won is newly secured budget ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday and was compiled to maximize the policy's effectiveness. With the additional budget secured, the expected January issuance of Oesaekjeon is anticipated to reach 11 billion won.

The Oesaekjeon incentive event conducted in early January exhausted a 370 million won budget in just two days amid high citizen interest, with approximately 7,400 people benefiting. This invigorated the local business district and received positive responses from small business owners and citizens.

Osan City Mayor Lee Gwon-jae stated, "This additional event was implemented with the help of citizens' enthusiastic interest," and added, "I hope that citizens will spend a warm and abundant holiday through this policy, and I will continue to actively pursue various policies to revitalize the local economy."
