[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Eom In-yong] Gapyeong County will hold the 'Gyeonggi Economy Boost Big Sale' from June 21-29 at 11 locations including traditional markets and alleyway commercial areas in the county.
This event is a consumer-stimulation project jointly hosted by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Traditional Market and Commercial Area Promotion Agency to revitalize the sluggish local economy. Last year's Big Sale event also received positive responses throughout the province.
This Big Sale brings together a total of 11 commercial areas: 4 traditional markets, 6 alleyway commercial areas, and the Gapyeong County Small Business Owners Federation.
The participating traditional markets are Gapyeong Jat-gul Market, Seorak Nunme-gol Market, Cheongpyeong Yeoul Market, and Jojong Market. The participating alleyway commercial areas are △Sangmyeon Commercial Complex Promotion Association △Gapyeong-eup Merchants Association △Music Station 1939 Merchants Association △Eobigogok Valley Merchants Association △Cheongpyeong Riverside Merchants Association △Cheongpyeong Lake Merchants Association, and the Gapyeong County Small Business Owners Federation participates as a regional federation.
Consumers who purchase goods worth 30,000 won or more at participating small business shops during the event period and verify their receipts can receive up to 20% cashback benefits. Traditional market shoppers receive Onnuri gift certificates, while alleyway area shoppers receive Gapyeong Love gift certificates.
Shin Seong-chul, head of the Small Business Support Division, stated, "This Big Sale is more than a simple discount event—it is a substantive consumer-stimulation campaign to revitalize the local economy," and added, "We hope for active participation so that this event can bring vitality to local commercial areas."
