[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] Icheon City announced on the 12th that it recently held the '2025 Icheon Hometown Love Donation Program Gift Selection Committee' and newly selected 9 suppliers and 14 gift items, while renewing agreements with the existing 25 suppliers covering 61 items.

With this additional selection, Icheon City's gift items for the program have expanded to a total of 34 suppliers and 75 product categories.

The newly participating suppliers include ▲Peacemond ▲JOIN WINERY Co., Ltd. ▲Peacemond ▲Neul Manna Food Co., Ltd. ▲Shinsung Ceramics ▲Everhealth Care Co., Ltd. ▲Meul Agricultural Company ▲Food Supply ▲The Born Food ▲Haetbi Disabled Workers Protection Workshop, and they provide various agricultural specialties, processed foods, ceramics, and social economy products as gift items.

As a result, donors now have access to an even richer and more diverse selection of choices.

New gift items include Imperial Shake blended with Icheon rice, JOIN wine made with Seolseong strawberries and Janghowon peaches, Baeksamen blueberries and aronia, high-quality Icheon ceramics, a planned set of nurungi and misutgaru made from Icheon rice, and perilla oil made from 100% domestic perilla seeds through cold pressing.

Also receiving attention are single-person household-friendly Onhae-on instant soup meal kits and nurungi sand using Icheon rice, as well as dried shiitake mushrooms directly cultivated and processed by the Haetbi Disabled Workers Protection Workshop under Seungga Won, which is earning recognition as a product combining social value and aligning well with the spirit of the Hometown Love Donation Program.

Additionally, kimchi and young radish kimchi, which donors consistently prefer, have been included as gift items, and are expected to further increase satisfaction among donors seeking traditional flavors.

Kim Dong-ho, City Public Information Officer, stated, "The city listened to voices from the field through supplier meetings this year and improved inconveniences, while intensively discussing quality management, shipping issues, and marketing reinforcement methods to organize the operational system," and added, "We have also made efforts to revitalize the Hometown Love Donation Program through various activities including promotion using city hall media boards, fan club donation events, and expanded homepage registration."

Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program is a system that allows individuals to donate up to 20 million won annually to local governments other than their registered address through Hometown Love e-um or NH Nonghyup Bank counters. Donors receive tax deductions and gift items such as local specialties or experiential products within 30% of the donated amount.

Mayor Kim Kyeong-hee stated, "Through this additional selection of gift items, we are now able to provide donors with a richer array of choices, and it is particularly meaningful that items reflecting Icheon's characteristics, including local agricultural products, ceramics, and social economy enterprise products, are included. Going forward, we will increase donor satisfaction through Icheon's differentiated gift items and contribute to local economic revitalization."
