Osan City Urges Citizens to Use 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons' by the 30th

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Park Chan-hyuk] As Osan City completed the distribution of 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons' on October 31st, the city has notified citizens that the usage deadline is approaching on November 30th.

The city explained that the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons, which have been distributed since July 21st, show overall high distribution rates of 246,308 recipients (98.9%) in the first round and 227,671 recipients (97.6%) in the second round, and are having positive effects on increasing sales for local small business owners and self-employed individuals.

The Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons can be used at small businesses with annual sales of 3 billion won or less and at Osaegjeon (local love gift certificate) affiliated stores, with the usage range set primarily around local commercial areas that citizens use in their daily lives.

However, usage is restricted at certain types of establishments such as large discount stores, department stores, and franchise direct-operated stores, and guidance is being provided to reduce citizen confusion.

The consumption coupons distributed in the first and second rounds can be used until November 30th, and any remaining balance will automatically expire if not used within the deadline.

The city added that active participation from citizens is necessary, as this policy is designed to encourage local consumption and help revitalize the commercial sector in line with the business objectives.

A city official stated, "We hope the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons will bring practical vitality to the local economy," and added, "We hope that citizens who have not yet used their coupons will definitely use them within the deadline to also benefit the local commercial sector."
