Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun: "Flawlessly Execute Comprehensive Lunar New Year Holiday Measures for Safe Holiday Period"

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Chung Jun-seong] Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun urged public officials, "Execute the Lunar New Year holiday comprehensive measures flawlessly so citizens can safely spend the holiday period."

Presiding over the '2026 Lunar New Year Holiday Comprehensive Measures Report' held on the 11th at the City Hall Disaster and Safety Situation Room, Mayor Lee stated, "The top priority of administration is citizen safety," and emphasized, "We must prepare thoroughly so citizens can safely spend their holiday, and respond immediately if any situations arise."

The 2026 Lunar New Year Holiday Comprehensive Plan consists of detailed measures in five major areas: △establishment of seamless safety systems including accident prevention △practice of warm neighborly love △minimization of residential inconvenience △support for safe cultural leisure △establishment of official discipline.

The city will operate a comprehensive situation room from the 14th to 18th to manage various incidents and accidents.

Additionally, the city will operate the 'Suwon City Lunar New Year Holiday Comprehensive Guide' website (holiday.suwon.go.kr) through the 18th. Citizens can view information including △medical clinics and pharmacies open during the holiday period △24-hour general hospitals and emergency medical facilities △Suwon City Yeong-hwa Funeral Home operations during the holiday △Suwon City traditional markets △museum and art gallery operations during the holiday △events during the holiday △garbage collection △homeless meal service schedules △unmanned civil application issuing machine operating status, and more.

Mayor Lee Jae-jun stated, "Provide detailed guidance to the relevant parties regarding meal support information for homeless people and children meal support during the holiday period," and added, "Also actively promote places worth visiting and programs citizens can enjoy during the holiday."
