Hanam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae Devotes Holiday to Citizens' Safety and Convenience

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] Hanam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae visited key emergency duty sites including the city hall duty office, health center, police station, and 119 Safety Center in sequence on the 17th, Lunar New Year's Day.

This was a visit to encourage staff members working behind the scenes to ensure citizens can celebrate the holiday with peace of mind, and to make final confirmations of safety response readiness across sectors.

Hanam City operates a 24-hour emergency response system centered on city hall in preparation for various disasters and safety accidents that may occur during the holiday period.

In particular, through the 'Comprehensive Response Situation Room' consisting of eight divisions and 108 personnel including an overall coordination division, safety measures division, and traffic measures division, the city is performing tasks closely related to citizens' lives without gaps, from disaster management to residential waste disposal and emergency medical support.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae first visited the city hall duty office, examined the operation status of the situation room, and encouraged staff members, saying, "Thanks to your efforts in staying at your posts even during the holiday, citizens can spend a peaceful break." He added, "Please do not let your guard down until the end of the holiday and be fully prepared for swift and accurate responses should any emergency situations arise."

Subsequently, Mayor Lee visited Sinjang 119 Safety Center, Changwoo Police Substation, and Hanam Police Station's 112 Situation Room in sequence to inspect their emergency dispatch preparedness status.
