Gapyeong County Completes "2nd Community Welfare Council Representative Council Meeting"

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] Gapyeong County held the "2nd Community Welfare Council Representative Council Meeting" on the 6th, conducting the appointment ceremony for the 11th term members and the election of the private co-chairperson.

The newly constituted 11th Representative Council for 2026 has a total of 19 members. Kim Gu-tae, a member (former 10th term Community Welfare Council co-chairperson), was elected as the private co-chairperson who will lead the Gapyeong County Community Welfare Council over the next two years.

At the meeting, appointment certificates were presented to 7 appointed members excluding ex-officio members, followed by the selection of specialized committees and a report on the launch of consulting work for the establishment of the "6th Gapyeong County Community Welfare Plan."

Newly appointed Chairman Kim Gu-tae stated, "I will work with the 11th term members to take the lead in discovering marginalized groups and eliminating welfare blind spots," and added, "As chairperson, I will do my best to ensure that public and private cooperation creates harmony in welfare business fields."

Public co-chairperson County Chief Seo Tae-won said, "I congratulate the members who have been appointed to play a pivotal role in promoting welfare in various fields," and added, "I hope all public and private members work together to create a healing city of Gapyeong where people of all ages and genders can be happy."
