Suwon Special Status City Self-Governance Decentralization Youth Planning Group Fourth Term 'Launches'

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] The 'Suwon Special Status City Self-Governance Decentralization Youth Planning Group Fourth Term,' which produces and promotes content related to Suwon City's self-governance decentralization and special status city activation, has taken its first step.

Suwon Special Status City held a launch ceremony for the fourth term of the Self-Governance Decentralization Youth Planning Group at the main conference room of City Hall on the 20th and presented appointment certificates to the youth planning group members. The fourth term youth planning group is composed of 32 young residents of Suwon and students from universities in the city.

The Self-Governance Decentralization Youth Planning Group will engage in activities until November, including producing content and conducting online promotion related to self-governance decentralization and special status city activation, participating in self-governance decentralization-related forums and Suwon City events, and writing reviews of their participation.

Certificates of completion and volunteer activity hours will be awarded based on activity performance. Outstanding performers will receive a citation from the Mayor of Suwon City.

The launch ceremony was attended by Mayor Lee Jae-jun, Chairman Gu Gyun-chul of Suwon City Self-Governance Decentralization Council, and Secretary-General Roh Min-ho.
