Paldal-gu Hwaseo 1-dong wins encouragement award in calligraphy and four gentlemen subjects category

Hwaseo 1-dong in Paldal-gu announced on the 7th that Lee Myeong-ok received an encouragement award in the calligraphy and four gentlemen subjects category of the '26th Suwon City Ki·Ye Management Competition' held at the Women's Week commemorative ceremony on the 3rd.

Lee Myeong-ok first encountered brush calligraphy through the calligraphy class at the Hwaseo 1-dong Community Center from January 2011 onwards, and has been consistently engaging in creative work. While there were many difficult and challenging moments during the learning process, Lee was able to continue learning with the help of fellow participants in the community center's calligraphy class program.

Lee Myeong-ok stated, "I haven't been studying calligraphy for very long, and I'm not sure how to express my gratitude for receiving such a wonderful award," adding "I will continue to work harder on my creative activities, using the lectures offered at the community center as a foundation going forward."
