Paldal-gu Hwaseo 1-dong Receives Encouragement Award in Calligraphy and Four Gentlemen Painting Category

Hwaseo 1-dong, Paldal-gu announced on the 7th that Lee Myeong-ok received an encouragement award in the calligraphy and Four Gentlemen painting category at the "26th Suwon City Art and Craft Management Competition" held during the Women's Week commemorative ceremony on the 3rd.

Lee Myeong-ok first encountered brush calligraphy through the calligraphy class at Hwaseo 1-dong Community Center starting in January 2011 and has been engaged in consistent creative work since then. Although there were many difficult and challenging aspects while learning, she was able to continue her studies with the help of fellow participants in the community center's calligraphy class program.

Lee Myeong-ok said, "I haven't been doing calligraphy for long, and I'm not sure how to express my gratitude for receiving such a great award," and added, "I will work harder on my creative activities based on the lectures offered at the community center going forward."
