Suwon City Recruiting Additional 130 Applicants for 'Blue Card' (Youth Transportation Card) Support by the 31st

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Hong Sung-gil] Suwon City is recruiting an additional 130 applicants for the 'Blue Card (Youth Transportation Card) project,' which provides public transportation costs for six months to youth preparing for employment, until the 31st of this month.

The 'Blue Card' project supports job-seeking youth by providing dedicated public transportation cards to help reduce their transportation expenses. The project provides 500,000 won over six months, with 50,000 won per month. The Blue Card can be used on buses and subways.

Young people aged 19 to 34 living in Suwon and preparing for employment can apply if they are members of households with income at or below 120% of the median household income.

Those working 36 hours or more per week with regular income, youth receiving youth support allowances from other institutions such as Gyeonggi Province or the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and university (graduate) students including those on leave of absence are excluded from support eligibility.

However, part-time workers working 35 hours or less per week, university graduates-to-be (expected to graduate by February 2020), and students on leave for employment purposes can receive support by submitting supporting documents such as employment contracts and interview confirmation letters.

Applicants can apply by clicking the 'Suwon City Job-Seeking Youth Transportation Support' banner on the Gyeonggi Province job platform 'Job Aba' website (https://apply.jobaba.net). Selected applicants will be notified individually on the 9th of next month.
