Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jang-seon Inspects Disinfection Work at Songtan Intercity Bus Terminal
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jang-seon inspected disinfection work at Songtan Intercity Bus Terminal on the 29th and encouraged on-site workers.
Songtan Intercity Bus Terminal is a location included in the movement route of the fourth confirmed case of COVID-19, causing citizens to feel uneasy about using the facility.
Mayor Jung conducted disinfection spraying alongside on-site workers, observed the atmosphere at the terminal, and listened to difficulties raised by terminal staff and intercity bus users.
"Given the current situation, citizens using multi-use facilities such as bus terminals may feel anxious about hygiene and disinfection conditions," Mayor Jung said. "Please actively support disinfectants and equipment to carry out thorough disinfection work."
Special disinfection measures implemented by the city are being concentrated on multi-use facilities with high foot traffic where many citizens gather, including areas near medical institutions visited by confirmed patients, senior centers in Jung-ang and Seojeong-dong, traditional markets, and Seojeong-ri Station.
The city plans to continue implementing special disinfection measures at multi-use facilities until the COVID-19 situation ends in order to protect citizen safety and ease community anxiety.
