[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Jangan-gu Office Chief Lee Byeong-kyoo conducted an on-site inspection of major hiking trails and forest fire-vulnerable areas at Gwanggyo Mountain on the 14th.
He also visited the forest fire countermeasure headquarters and observation posts to encourage employees and forest fire prevention workers on duty for forest fire prevention efforts.
Gu Office Chief Lee Byeong-kyoo stated, "We must pass on well-preserved forest resources to future generations through active efforts to protect the safety and property of citizens," and urged, "Through regular inspection of forest fire suppression equipment and thorough preventive activities, do your best to ensure that forest fires do not occur."
The district recruited 38 forest fire prevention workers for the spring forest fire precaution period (February 1 to May 15) and operates a forest fire countermeasure headquarters. The workers crack down on illegal burning activities in Gwanggyo Mountain and forest-adjacent areas, conduct publicity and guidance activities for forest protection, and prepare for emergency situations.
