Youngdeungpo District to Conduct Comprehensive Inspection of Illegal Buildings from the 20th

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Youngdeungpo District, Suwon will conduct a comprehensive inspection of illegal buildings on which enforcement penalties were imposed from 2018 to 2019, pursuant to Article 80 of the Building Act, from the 20th through August 31.

Buildings in violation of the Building Act are closely related to residents' safety and lives, as they can obstruct evacuation in case of disasters such as fires. They also harm residents' safety and living environment.

The district will notify property owners of corrective measures such as restoration for buildings where violations have not been remedied. If not corrected, administrative measures including prosecution and enforcement penalties will be imposed.
