Ganghwa County Holds Research Service Report Meeting on Oeppo Port Development Plan

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Ganghwa County held a research service report meeting on the Oeppo-ri fisheries and tourism hub port development plan in the video conference room of the County Office on the 7th.

The research service was carried out to develop Oeppo Port, a local fishing port, into a representative hub port centered on fisheries and tourism, and to create a space where ecology, culture, tourism, and leisure coexist.

At the report meeting, development directions were presented based on the analysis of specialized conditions and on-site surveys, including ▲basic plan for establishing a comprehensive fish market at Oeppo Port ▲development of tourism infrastructure in the Oeppo-ri area ▲plans for infrastructure maintenance (coastal deck construction, surrounding village landscape improvement, sky waterworks construction, bumper cars, artificial beach and other facility proposals). Opinions from attendees were also heard.

Based on the research service results, the county plans to hold a local resident briefing session this month to gather resident opinions before formally launching the "Oeppo-ri Development Project."

Ganghwa County Governor Yu Cheon-ho said, "We will actively gather opinions from local residents to develop Oeppo Port into a fisheries and tourism destination representing the region," and added, "Based on this research service, we will do our best to develop Oeppo Port into a representative hub port for the region."
