Pyeongtaek City Recruiting 12 Fine Dust Illegal Emissions Monitors
[Suwon Ilbo=Correspondent Seo Dong-young] Pyeongtaek City announced on the 31st that it is recruiting 12 fine dust illegal emissions monitors.
This recruitment follows an earlier drive in the first half of this year and marks the city's second recruitment this year. The monitors will be active for three months (12 weeks) from mid-September through early December, positioned in the Environmental Policy Division, Environmental Guidance Division, and Environmental Sanitation Divisions of each branch office, where they will enforce regulations on fugitive dust worksites, conduct indoor air quality inspections, enforce regulations on vehicle emissions, monitor illegal incineration sites, and other fine dust emission sources, while also promoting fine dust reduction projects.
Applicants must be at least 19 years old, residents of Pyeongtaek City as of the announcement date, and capable of driving. Given that monitoring activities must be performed, applicants must be in good health. Preference will be given to those with environmental-related certifications, retirees from industry, and discharged military personnel with less than three years since discharge.
The application period runs from September 7 to 9. Applicants can apply by visiting the City's Environmental Policy Division with required documents or by submitting them via email (hong0124@pt.go.kr).
Applicants will undergo a first-stage document review and second-stage interview during September, with final selection determined in order of highest scores. Final approved monitors will be individually notified of their selection on September 15.
