Pyeongtaek City Completes Full Maintenance of Pyeongtaek Lake Memorial Tower Ahead of Chuseok

[Suwon Ilbo=Seo Dong-young Reporter] Pyeongtaek City announced on the 28th that it has completed comprehensive maintenance including weeding and washing around memorial facilities in the city, including the Pyeongtaek Lake Memorial Tower, ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

The city removed overgrown weeds caused by three consecutive typhoons and heavy rains since late August, creating an environment for visitors to pay respects with reverence during the Chuseok festival.

Pyeongtaek Mayor Jeong Jang-seon said, "This year, with COVID-19 restricting access to the National Cemetery of Korea and making it difficult for many national patriots to visit their hometowns, we have cleaned up all memorial facilities in the city so they can visit and pay respects at nearby memorial towers."
