(Breaking) 283rd Confirmed COVID-19 Case in Suwon...Resident in His 70s from Woncheon-dong

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] The 283rd confirmed COVID-19 case has occurred in Suwon.

Suwon Mayor Yeom Tae-young announced the occurrence of the 283rd confirmed case through his Facebook post "COVID-19. Suwon City Response Update 1047" on the 7th.

The confirmed patient is a resident in his 70s of Korean nationality living in Woncheon Jugong Apartment Complex Phase 2 in Woncheon-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu. He is presumed to have been infected through contact with the 281st confirmed case, an acquaintance.

While asymptomatic, he provided a specimen on the 6th at the Yeongdeungpo-gu Health Center screening clinic and was confirmed positive on the 7th by Green Cross Medical Laboratories. He is currently awaiting assignment to an isolation hospital bed.
