Jangan-gu Conducts Intensive Inspection of Facilities Emitting High Levels of Fine Dust
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Jangan-gu, Suwon is conducting intensive environmental inspections of 45 facilities that emit large amounts of fine dust through the 18th to reduce high-concentration fine dust during the winter season.
Major inspection items include ▲notification status of projects generating fugitive dust ▲installation of dust screens and dust prevention membranes ▲proper operation of wheel washing and car washing facilities for transport vehicles ▲water spraying measures on construction site roads and low-speed operation of passing vehicles ▲installation of dust prevention covers on bulk-stored materials, etc.
Facilities found to be in violation of relevant regulations will be subject to administrative measures and criminal referrals. Additionally, when an emergency fine dust reduction measure is issued during the winter season, strengthened fine dust reduction policies will be implemented, including adjustment of work hours and increased water spraying.
Yi Bong-ha, chief of the Ward's Environmental Sanitation Division, stated, "We will continue to prioritize residents' health and a clean air environment, implementing special inspections and periodic crackdowns for fine dust reduction."
