Jangan-gu Designates 'Il Deez Cafe' as First 'Environmental Dream Milk Carton Factory'

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] On the 4th, Jangan-gu, Suwon, designated 'Il Deez Cafe (CEO Kim Ok-jin)' located in Jowon-dong as the first 'Environmental Dream Milk Carton Factory,' a designation for model businesses that recycle milk cartons, and attached a certification plaque to the establishment.

The Environmental Dream Milk Carton Factory is a project promoted to expand milk carton recycling. It targets coffee specialty shops and small-scale cafes within the district. Jangan-gu regularly collects milk cartons that are cleaned and stored by the businesses and sends them to the resource circulation center. In return, the district provides one roll of toilet paper per 1.5kg of milk cartons collected from the businesses.

Jangan-gu Chief Lee Beom-seon said, "For a clean future environment, active participation from citizens is essential. I will do my best to ensure more citizens participate by showing interest in the environment, such as properly sorting and disposing of recyclables and reducing the use of disposable items."
