Pyeongtaek Urban Development Corporation Opens Public Parking Lots Free During Chuseok Holiday

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Pyeongtaek Urban Development Corporation (President Kim Jae-soo) announced on the 30th that it will open all public parking lots free of charge for four days from September 9 to 12 during the Chuseok holiday period to provide parking convenience for local residents, returnees, and tourists visiting for the major national holiday.

The initiative covers a total of 50 public parking facilities—including street and off-street parking lots—that are operated by Pyeongtaek Urban Development Corporation within Pyeongtaek city.

The Parking Business Division of Pyeongtaek Urban Development Corporation, which operates the public parking lots, will arrange emergency staff rotation during the holiday period to be fully prepared for any emergency situations that may arise.

Meanwhile, the corporation has recently contributed to the revitalization of the regional economy of nearby traditional markets and commercial areas by opening public parking lots free of charge during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holiday periods.

An official from Pyeongtaek Urban Development Corporation stated, "We hope to provide parking convenience to Pyeongtaek residents and hometown returnees so that families and neighbors can enjoy a pleasant holiday together."
