Ganghwa County Establishes Implementation Plan for 2025 Cadastral Resurvey Project

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Choi Ki-ho] Ganghwa County announced on the 17th that it has established an implementation plan for the 2025 cadastral resurvey project for Samgeo 2 District in Hajjeom-myeon (727 parcels in the Samgeo 2-ri area), Deokha 1 District in Yangsa-myeon (254 parcels in the Deokha 1-ri area), and Sungnoe 1 District in Songhae-myeon (437 parcels in the Sungnoe 2-ri area).

To advance this cadastral resurvey project, the county will hold resident briefing sessions on July 8-9 at community centers within each project district.

The cadastral resurvey is a long-term national policy project that conducts precision surveying of land where paper cadastral maps created during Japanese colonial rule do not match actual conditions, converting them to digital cadastre.

Next year, boundary surveys are planned for a total of 1,418 parcels across three districts, approximately 1.16 million square meters, with surveying costs covered by the national budget.

Upon project completion, clearly defined land boundaries are expected to resolve boundary disputes and regularize irregular land shapes, thereby improving land values.

A county official stated, "Cooperation from landowners within the project district is crucial for swift advancement of the cadastral resurvey project," and added, "Since the project can proceed only with consent from two-thirds or more of those in the project area, we hope landowners and stakeholders will actively attend the resident briefing sessions and provide their consent."
