Ganghwa County Establishes 2025 Cadastral Resurvey Implementation Plan

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Choi Ki-ho] Ganghwa County announced on the 17th that it has established the 2025 cadastral resurvey project implementation plan for Samgeo 2 District in Hajjeom-myeon (727 parcels in Samgeo 2-ri area), Deokha 1 District in Yangsa-myeon (254 parcels in Deokha 1-ri area), and Sungrae 1 District in Songhae-myeon (437 parcels in Sungrae 2-ri area).

To promote the cadastral resurvey project, the county will hold public briefing sessions at village community centers in each project district on July 8-9.

The cadastral resurvey is a long-term national policy project that precisely measures land where paper cadastral maps created during Japanese colonial rule do not match current conditions, converting them into digital cadastral records.

Next year, boundary surveys are scheduled for a total of 1,418 parcels and approximately 1.16 million square meters across three districts, with surveying costs to be covered by national budget.

Upon project completion, clearer land boundaries are expected to resolve boundary disputes and irregular land shapes will be regularized, thereby enhancing land value.

A county official stated, "Cooperation from landowners within the project district is important for the rapid advancement of the cadastral resurvey project," adding, "Since the project can only proceed with consent from two-thirds or more of those in the project district, we ask that landowners and stakeholders attend the public briefing sessions in large numbers and provide consent for application."
