Yangpyeong County Governor Jeon Jin-seon Wins 2025 Power Leader Award in Innovative Administration Category

[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Um In-yong] Yangpyeong County Governor Jeon Jin-seon won the grand prize in the 'Innovative Administration' category at the '2025 Power Leader Award Ceremony' held at the Korea Press Center on the 7th.

Governor Jeon was highly evaluated for achieving outstanding results in county administration through excellent leadership based on communication and management strategies that lead new changes and innovation. He received the grand prize in the 'Innovative Administration' category among 12 award categories at the ceremony.

Upon taking office in his eighth term of the popular election, Governor Jeon implemented a system transformation and pursued administration that provided practical assistance to county residents under the slogan "People and Nature, Happy Yangpyeong" to drive change and innovation.

In particular, his attractive county policies received high acclaim, including ▲developing environmentally-friendly tourism courses that capitalize on the advantages of clean areas by transforming overlapping regulatory challenges into opportunities ▲establishing Yangpyeong as an environmental education city through spreading sustainable lifestyles by realizing carbon neutrality ▲promoting Dumulmuri and Semiwon as the Gyeonggi Province's first national garden through attracting the Gyeonggi Province Garden Culture Expo ▲building a smart future city through public transportation restructuring prioritizing residents' satisfaction in everyday administration ▲the Yangpyeong Fullness Project to achieve balanced development between east and west regions.

Governor Jeon Jin-seon stated, "This award was made possible thanks to the unified strength of approximately 129,000 Yangpyeong residents who cooperated in county administration," and added, "I will make greater efforts going forward to create an attractive Yangpyeong that fulfills residents' happiness and expectations."
