Uiwang City Signs Parking Enforcement Authority Delegation Agreement with Gunpo City

[Suwon Ilbo=Park Chan-hyuk Reporter] Uiwang City announced on the 22nd that it signed a parking enforcement authority delegation agreement with Gunpo City on the 17th to resolve illegal parking issues in the city boundary area and minimize traffic inconvenience for residents.

This agreement was promoted to conduct effective crackdowns on illegal parking in the Goraedeuljil road section in the areas around Ojeon-dong in Uiwang City and Dangjeong-dong in Gunpo City, which share an administrative boundary.

Through this agreement, the city plans to reduce enforcement gaps and prevent traffic accidents and civil complaints by mutually delegating enforcement authority over areas adjacent to the city boundary.

Meanwhile, following the signing of this agreement, the city plans to conduct full-scale crackdowns starting next month after enforcement officer training and road maintenance regarding enforcement target areas and operational plans.

A city official stated, "This agreement will establish itself as a new model of inter-city cooperation to resolve resident inconveniences," adding, "We will continue to work to improve practical administrative services for citizens through cooperation with other local governments."
