Anyang City Concludes 'Family Fun Sports Day' Bringing the World Together

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Um In-yong] In commemoration of World Day (May 20), the 'Family Fun Sports Day' attended by approximately 400 multicultural and non-multicultural families in Anyang City was held on the 21st at the auxiliary gymnasium of Anyang General Sports Complex.

The Anyang City Family Center (Center Director Oh Yeon-ju) held various experience programs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., including cheerful family sports activities such as unity relay races, globe-moving games, and pan-flipping games, as well as world traditional costume and play experiences and multicultural awareness improvement handprinting sessions, providing a time to respect cultural diversity and communicate with one another.

Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang City stated, "Through this event, I could glimpse the future of our local community where diverse cultures coexist," and added, "Moving forward, Anyang City will advance as a warm city where all citizens live together."
