Kim Dong-yeon Visits Key Provincial Administration Sites Throughout Gyeonggi Province to Meet Residents
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Kim Gap-dong] Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon is embarking on a livelihood economy field tour to inspect key provincial administration issues in every corner of the province and directly hear the voices of residents.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 19th that Governor Kim will meet residents in various locations starting from Pyeongtaek on the 20th and visiting cities and counties through the end of October.
This initiative goes beyond a simple visit—it aims to find ways to revitalize the livelihood economy and explore policy directions by visiting local commercial districts, industrial sites, and locations related to Gyeonggi Province policies while communicating with residents.
Governor Kim will travel in a special bus prepared for this field tour. The exterior of the bus will feature the phrase 'It changes everywhere we go (Daldal)–Gyeonggi Livelihood Economy Field Tour Bus.' The special bus will consist of 2 vehicles: one for transfers between livelihood economy field sites and another for civil complaints where residents can chat and take a light rest, operating throughout the field tour period.
The province plans to hold a bus departure ceremony at 3 p.m. on the 19th in front of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government building to mark the official start of the livelihood economy tour.
The first destination of the livelihood economy tour is Pyeongtaek. On the morning of the 20th, Governor Kim will attend the groundbreaking ceremony for TOK Advanced Materials' Pyeongtaek Poseung Factory at the BIX industrial complex in Pyeongtaek Poseung District. TOK Advanced Materials is the Korean subsidiary of Japan's TOK (Tokyo Ohka Kogyo), the world's largest company in photoresists, a key semiconductor material. Through this groundbreaking for a key semiconductor materials production facility, Gyeonggi Province moves one step closer to the 8th elected term's goal of attracting 100 trillion won in investments.
Following this, Governor Kim will have lunch at a restaurant frequently visited by employees of companies operating at Pyeongtaek Port, then visit Naegi 1-ri Community Center, which operates as a heat wave shelter, to listen to opinions from vulnerable groups during extreme heat such as village elders.
Afterwards, Governor Kim will move to the Pyeongtaek Port Marine Center to hold talks with automobile and parts company officials. This is an occasion to listen to grievances from executives of major automotive industry companies at Pyeongtaek Port and discuss follow-up measures resulting from the conclusion of the US-Korea tariff negotiations.
After the talks, he will visit Tongbok Market to personally shop and check consumer prices for daily goods, and discuss with merchants regarding the revitalization of traditional markets.
Governor Kim Dong-yeon plans to visit major livelihood sites throughout the province starting with Pyeongtaek, including Namyangju and Yangju, to spend time with residents.
