[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Park Chan-hyuk] Osan City announced on the 26th four recipients of the '37th Osan Civic Award' who have made significant contributions to community development.
The recipients are △Kim Dong-hee in the Community Development category △Hwang Tae-gyeong in the Economic Security category △Yoo Hye-sook in the Social Welfare category △Kim Gyeong-soon in the Culture and Sports category.
Kim Dong-hee (61) has taken the lead in fostering patriotism and community harmony by making scholarship donations and engaging in charitable activities, while serving in positions such as chairman of the Veterans Organization Council and director of the UN Forces Combat Memorial Hall.
Hwang Tae-gyeong (58) served as chairman of Osan Saemaul Credit Union and led the achievement of 300 billion won in Saemaul Credit Union assets in 2021, while contributing to the revitalization of the local economy through support for small business owners and philanthropic activities.
Yoo Hye-sook (70) has devoted efforts to supporting vulnerable groups, advancing women's rights, and creating a safe community through Saemaul Women's Association activities and the establishment of the women's volunteer organization 'Hyang-gi Society'.
Kim Gyeong-soon (71) served as chairman of the Park Golf Association, contributing to the promotion of the sport and improvement of citizen fitness, and has contributed to the development of recreational sports through scholarship donations and environmental cleanup activities.
Meanwhile, the 37th Osan Civic Award ceremony is scheduled to be held at the 'Osan Civic Day Commemoration Ceremony' on September 19.
