[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Park Chan-hyuk] Osan City announced on the 26th the four recipients of the "37th Osan Citizen Award" who have made significant contributions to the development of the local community.
The recipients are: △Kim Dong-hee in the Community Development category; △Hwang Tae-gyeong in the Economic Safety category; △Yoo Hye-sook in the Social Welfare category; and △Kim Gyeong-soon in the Culture and Sports category.
Kim Dong-hee (age 61) has led the way in patriotism and community harmony by donating scholarships and making charitable contributions, and by serving as chairman of the Patriots' Organizations Council and director of the UN Forces Armistice Agreement Memorial Hall.
Hwang Tae-gyeong (age 58) served as director of the Osan Saemaul Credit Union, leading the achievement of 300 billion won in Saemaul Credit Union assets in 2021, and contributed to the revitalization of the local economy through support for small business owners and charitable activities.
Yoo Hye-sook (age 70) worked hard to support vulnerable groups and advance women's rights and create a safe local community through Saemaul Women's Association activities and the establishment of the women's volunteer group "Hyang-gi-hoe".
Kim Gyeong-soon (age 71) served as chairman of the Park Golf Association, contributing to the promotion of the sport and enhancement of citizens' physical fitness, and contributing to the development of community sports through donations of scholarships and environmental cleanup activities.
Meanwhile, the 37th Osan Citizen Award ceremony is scheduled to be held at the "Osan Citizen Day Commemoration" on September 19.
