Guri Agricultural & Fishery Products Wholesale Market Announces Chuseok Closure Schedule

[Suwon Ilbo=Eom In-yong Reporter] The Guri Agricultural & Fishery Products Wholesale Market (hereinafter, the Wholesale Market) is entering its Chuseok closure period for 2025.

According to the organization, produce, fresh fish, shellfish, and dried seafood sections will be closed from 6 p.m. on October 5, with normal auctions resuming from 6 p.m. on October 8.

Additionally, the live fish section will be closed for only two days from October 6 to 7, with auctions resuming from the morning of October 8 (Wednesday). During the closure period, only auctions and wholesale market business operations will be suspended, while middleman shops will operate at their own discretion.

President Kim Jin-soo stated, "The Chuseok closure dates were determined reflecting the opinions of distribution industry members, and we will cooperate closely with them to ensure smooth supply of agricultural and fishery products before and after the closure period," adding "We will thoroughly advise tenants and implement prevention measures to ensure no safety accidents occur at the wholesale market during the closure period."
