Hanam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae: "Will Improve Quality of Life in Sinjang 2-dong and Gambuk-dong Through Issue Resolution"

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Um In-yong] Hanam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae announced on the 22nd at the 'Dialogue with Sinjang 2-dong Residents' held at the Sinjang 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center that "we will fully restart the H2 site development project in Changwoo-dong, which had been stalled due to environmental assessment grade regulations, by revising the green belt release guidelines."

The mayor strongly expressed his will to restart the project through regulatory innovation regarding the H2 site development project (located in the area of 108 Changwoo-dong), a key issue in Sinjang 2-dong.

The H2 site covers approximately 162,000 square meters and is currently undergoing feasibility studies for basic planning.

Mayor Lee stated, "Although the project faced the crisis of being abandoned due to tightened regulations in the past, we have revised the guidelines to allow green belt release when establishing water pollution source management measures, and we are currently preparing a basic project plan for project implementation," adding "we aim to finalize the basic project plan by March this year and commence construction by December 2030, making it a central axis for the development of Hanam City and Sinjang 2-dong."

He continued, "I am firmly committed to the view that Gambuk-dong is the gateway to our Hanam City," and stated, "The Dongnam-ro connector road is scheduled to break ground next year and open in 2030. Once the Dongnam-ro connector road is completed, I believe adjacent roads must naturally be connected as well."

Regarding city gas supply, the mayor announced, "Gwangam-dong is being pursued with a goal of supply in the second half of this year."
