Yongin Special City Approves Final Plan for Riverpark Apartment Remodeling Project at Seongbok Station in Suji-gu

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Choi Ki-ho] Yongin Special City announced on the 25th that it has granted final approval for the remodeling project plan of Riverpark Apartment at Seongbok Station in Suji-gu.

The city's approval of the apartment remodeling project plan marks the fifth case following △Suji Choip Village Apartment △Bowon Apartment △Dongbu Apartment and △Korea Apartment.

Riverpark Apartment at Seongbok Station, completed in 1998, has been reviewing remodeling methods using horizontal and separate building expansion since establishing a remodeling housing association in 2020.

Riverpark Apartment at Seongbok Station, to be constructed by Posco E&C, will be transformed from the current basement 1 floor and 20 stories above ground to basement 5 floors and 24 stories above ground.

The number of units will increase by 103 units from the existing scale to a total of 805 units, with the additional units in sizes of exclusive 84㎡ and 99㎡ planned for future general sale. Additionally, expansion of the basement level will secure 1,075 parking spaces, and diverse facilities including △sky lounge △resident exercise facilities and △community childcare center are expected to contribute to improved residential convenience and enhanced community functions.

Mayor Lee Sang-il stated, “As many remodeling associations in Suji-gu are pushing forward with projects, we will actively communicate with residents to ensure improvements in residential environments and prompt housing redevelopment projects,” and added, “Following the government's announcement of real estate measures on September 7 last year, various institutional improvement measures have been prepared for apartment remodeling projects, and we can expect smooth project implementation going forward.”
