Suwon Urban Corporation Introduces Employee Labor Director System to Expand Worker Participation in Management

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Lee Min-jung] Suwon Urban Corporation (President Lee Young-in) announced on the 11th that it is introducing a labor director system to expand worker participation in management and strengthen on-site communication.

The labor director system is a mechanism to participate in important decision-making of enterprises and strengthen management transparency and autonomy. It has been introduced in accordance with the Ordinance on the Operation of the Labor Director System for Local Public Enterprises and Suwon City Public Institutions.

Joh Geon-hee (49), Head of Site Operations Team, has been appointed as the corporation's first labor director. He joined the company in 2008 and has served as Head of Innovation Planning Team and Head of Human Resources and Labor Management Team. The term of the labor director is three years.

The appointment ceremony was held at Suwon City Hall in the afternoon.

President Lee Young-in said, "With the introduction of the labor director system, we expect to strengthen communication and cooperation within the organization and have positive effects on improving the quality of public services."
