Suwon Urban Development Corporation Introduces Labor Director System to Expand Worker Participation in Management

[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Lee Min-jung] Suwon Urban Development Corporation (President Lee Young-in) announced on the 11th that it will introduce a labor director system to expand worker participation in management and strengthen on-site communication.

The labor director system is designed to increase management transparency and autonomy by participating in important corporate decision-making. It has been introduced in accordance with the ordinance on the operation of the labor director system for local public enterprises and Suwon City public institutions.

Jo Geon-hee (49), Team Leader of Jangsang Operations, has been appointed as the corporation's first labor director. He joined the company in 2008 and has served as head of the Innovation Planning Team and Human Resources and Labor Management Team, among other positions. The term of office for the labor director is three years.

The appointment ceremony was held at Suwon City Hall on the afternoon of that day.

President Lee Young-in stated, "The introduction of the labor director system is expected to strengthen communication and cooperation within the organization and have positive effects on improving the quality of public services."
