Guri Agricultural and Aquatic Products Corporation Conducts Joint Field-Specific Intensive Safety Inspections with Private Experts

[Suwon Ilbo=Um In-yong Reporter] Guri Agricultural and Aquatic Products Corporation (President Kim Jin-soo, hereinafter 'the Corporation') announced on the 24th that it recently conducted intensive safety inspections by field, including architecture, electricity, firefighting, and machinery, in accordance with the '2026 Intensive Safety Inspection Period.'

The inspection was conducted jointly by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Gyeonggi Province, Guri City, the Corporation, and private experts from the fields of architecture, electricity, firefighting, and machinery, with priority focus on the safety management status of major facilities at the wholesale market and necessary improvements.

In particular, the facilities, electricity, and firefighting fields conducted quantitative inspections according to the Ministry of Public Administration and Security's risk assessment standards, checking conditions such as cracks and water leaks, switchboard management status, and operation of firefighting and alarm equipment. Private experts from the architecture and machinery fields presented technical review opinions on risk factors and maintenance management plans, along with on-site safety inspections of aging facilities such as roof waterproofing conditions and parking lot entry ramps.

Additionally, the joint inspection involved private experts by field, including technical engineers, and local public enterprise officials, conducting practical and effective field-focused inspections. Consultation on facility maintenance direction and selection of priority repair targets was also conducted.

Based on the inspection results, the Corporation plans to correct minor matters on-site and to implement phased improvements to facilities requiring repairs and reinforcement, taking into account risk level and urgency.

Moreover, through continuous safety inspections and facility maintenance until the relocation of the wholesale market, the Corporation plans to make utmost efforts to prevent safety accidents and ensure the safety of users.
