Suwon Urban Development Corporation Establishes Business Continuity Management System for Vehicle Registration Number Plate Services in Disasters

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Lee Min-jung] Suwon Urban Development Corporation (CEO Lee Young-in, hereinafter "the Corporation") has established the nation's first business continuity management system to ensure normal operations of vehicle registration number plate services in the event of disasters or emergencies.

On the 29th afternoon at Deoham Park, the Corporation signed a 'Business Agreement for Vehicle Registration Number Plate Issuing Agencies' with four organizations including Yongin, Osan, and Pyeongtaek Urban Development Corporations and Icheon Facilities Management Corporation.

The agreement ceremony was attended by approximately 30 officials from five organizations, including CEO Lee Young-in of the Corporation, CEO Han Byung-soo of Pyeongtaek Urban Development Corporation, CEO Bae Myung-gon of Osan Urban Development Corporation, Executive Director Kim Yeon-gyoo of Yongin Urban Development Corporation, and Executive Director Kim Jong-chun of Icheon Facilities Management Corporation.

The agreement was pursued to establish a 'business continuity management system' for vehicle registration number plate manufacturing and registration operations in the event of disasters or emergencies such as fires or flooding.

Business continuity planning (COOP·Continuity Of Operation Plan) refers to establishing a response system that enables an organization to maintain its core functions and services to the public even in unexpected crisis situations.

The specific contents of the agreement include △provision of human resources and materials △cooperation in sharing facilities with similar functions △proactive joint response to policy changes, and others.

CEO Lee Young-in stated, "The agreement is to ensure continuity of services to the public under any crisis situation," and added, "We will do our best to establish a safe and sustainable public service operation system."
