Yeoju Completes Construction of Agricultural Products Promotion Center... First Opening on Day of Mayoral Term Launch

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] Yeoju City has completed the construction of an 'Agricultural Products Promotion Center' within the Agricultural Technology Center building to widely promote the excellence of local agriculture and the brand value of agricultural products, and publicly unveiled it to citizens for the first time on the 1st, the day of the mayoral term launch.

The newly established promotion center is a permanent promotional space that can introduce the history, achievements, and representative agricultural products of Yeoju agriculture at a glance to citizens and visitors to Yeoju City, and has been positioned in the space that agricultural practitioners, citizens, and external visitors encounter first when visiting the Agricultural Technology Center.

The promotion center features Daewang-nim Brand Yeoju Rice, which has established itself as Korea's number one agricultural product brand, as well as sweet potatoes, peanuts, eggplants, peaches, pears, and other representative agricultural products of Yeoju City and processed products. It is organized to effectively convey Yeoju agriculture's competitiveness by incorporating co-branded promotional content, various awards and achievements, and agricultural policy outcomes.

In particular, this project was promoted as part of the "Yeoju Agricultural Products Co-brand Activation" campaign, which has been a priority initiative since the eighth mayoral term and continues into the ninth term, and is expected to contribute to improving consumer awareness of Yeoju agricultural products and laying the groundwork for expanding sales channels.

Mayor Lee Chung-woo stated, "The Agricultural Products Promotion Center is a symbolic space demonstrating Yeoju agriculture's pride and competitiveness," and added, "I am pleased to present it to citizens alongside the launch of the ninth mayoral term. Moving forward, we will actively utilize it to widely promote the value and excellence of Yeoju agricultural products and contribute to increasing farmers' income and advancing regional agriculture."
