Osan City Expands Park Water Play Facilities from Weekends to Weekdays Starting the 28th

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Kim Gap-dong] Amid sustained heat waves, Osan City announced on the 15th that it will expand operations of its park water play facilities from weekends only to include weekdays starting the 28th, allowing citizens to safely cool off from the heat at nearby parks during the summer vacation and holiday season.

The city has fully opened eight water play facilities in the area since June 6th, operating from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The water play facilities operate for 50 minutes followed by a 10-minute rest period, with lunch hours from noon to 1 p.m. Until the 26th, operations will be weekends only, and from the 28th when summer vacation begins through August 16th, they will operate all days except Mondays. Additionally, special operations are planned for Constitution Day (July 17th) and the substitute holiday for Liberation Day (August 17th).

The eight water play facilities in the city include Nalgeumteo Park, Jungmi Sports Park, Majung Forest Neighborhood Park, Busan 2nd Children's Park, Araetteul Park, Cheongho 2nd Children's Park, Osan City Hall, and Osan Stream Five-Color Water Play Area.

Water play facilities located in urban parks serve as representative summer recreational spaces where children and families can enjoy water activities without traveling far, and they receive considerable love from citizens every year.

During the operating period, the city plans to conduct thorough facility safety inspections and water quality management so that visitors can use the facilities safely and comfortably, taking all necessary precautions to prevent accidents.
