Anseong City announced that it held the '2026 Anseong Middle-Aged Happiness Campus Second Half Entrance Ceremony' on the 20th at the International Convention Center on the 2nd floor of the AI Future Building at Hankyung National University, officially launching educational programs for middle-aged and older adults in the second half of the year.

The entrance ceremony was attended by approximately 160 participants, including Anseong Mayor Kim Bo-ra, Hankyung National University President Kim Chan-gi, Anseong City Council Speaker Ban In-suk, students, and related officials. The event proceeded with opening remarks and introductions of distinguished guests, opening and welcoming addresses, congratulatory remarks, commemorative photographs, followed by joint performances by new and current students, campus introduction, and an introductory lecture.

For the second half of this year, a total of 180 people enrolled in 11 regular programs. Notably, the city expanded programs beyond hobby and liberal arts education to include substantive competency development such as certification acquisition, professional skill training, and enhanced digital capabilities.

Certification programs include △Level 1 Spoon Percussion Instructor △Catering Event Chef △Level 1 Senior Cognitive Training Instructor △Level 2 Book Play Instructor. Additionally, through the △Coffee Machine Repair Technician program, participants learn the structure of semi-automatic espresso machines and practical on-site repair skills, while also offering education that can be integrated into daily life and culture, including △Slow Aging Recipes △Vocal Training △Anseong Cultural Artisan Class, among others.

Notably, this year, to strengthen AI utilization capabilities as a key city policy direction, AI education specifically for middle-aged and older adults has been newly introduced. The 'AI Kindergarten' is a foundational course that helps citizens encountering AI for the first time easily and comfortably utilize AI in their daily lives using smartphones and PCs, while the 'Personal Branding Mastery Using AI' program is a practical education course in which participants leverage AI to concretize their personal strengths and experiences into a brand and directly create content such as short-form videos and AI music.

Through these educational programs, Anseong City plans to support middle-aged and older adults in growing beyond being mere education recipients to becoming active agents in their communities by connecting their experience and capabilities to new employment opportunities and social contribution.

Anseong Mayor Kim Bo-ra stated, "Middle-aged and older adults are important assets of our local community with extensive experience and expertise," and added, "I will actively support so that the competencies learned and cultivated at the Happiness Campus lead to new employment and social contribution, enabling our middle-aged citizens to play confident roles as agents of the local community."
